I knew someone who took clear vases, and painted flowers on them (just simple brush strokes) and they turned out to be really pretty. You can do that and for the flowers, buy fake ones and put those glass aquarium beads in the bottom of the vase with the flowers, in the colors of your choosing. And from a party store, they have little decorations, like tiny pacifiers you can use to tie on the end of ribbons, which you can tie the ribbon around the flowers. Hope this helps!

Dr. Suess Table Theme Decoration help for a baby shower?
I have five tables for a baby shower that is a Dr. Suess theme. I need to figure out cool centerpieces and possible other decorations to sell the theme at each table. The themes for the five are Horton Hears a Who, Green Eggs and Ham, Red fish, Blue Fish, Oh, The Places You’ll Go, and The Cat in the Hat….Any ideas for centerpieces or helpful links to tutorials or pictures?? I would greatly appreciate it.

Susan answers:
Do a small diaper cake and put the book on top of each cake. Then maybe open the book a little bit and put a cute bud vase with a little flower or rose in each one. You could match the ribbon around the diaper cake to the book and if you have a ton of time, even buy scrapbooking materials or little stickers that go with each theme (or just stick to the baby them around the diaper cakes). You can make your own confetti to match each table and then you’ll have individual cute, colorful tables. Also, the mom-to-be then can take all the diapers cakes and the books home for her little one to keep and treasure knowing it was from the baby shower. Have fun!

Creative baby shower ideas to do with diapers?
My best friend is having a baby shower (boy) I normally make diaper cakes, but this time I made her a diaper tricycle. I have quite a few diaper that were given to me as a gift (they are cheapie safeway brand ones and the sides are purple) I would like to find some way to use them as a decoration for the shower. I don’t think there will be tables to put centerpieces on. Any other ideas? Thanks!
no diaper cakes, please read the question. and no games please. we already have the games

Susan answers:
You can donate them to a shelter. Or make another gift for your friend, a gift basket with things like baby wipes, diaper rash cream, grooming kit, emergency kit and just throw in the leftover diapers.
